I just got back from spring break vacation to the mountains. My friends and I did lots of walking and hiking and the weather was gorgeous. Today I got back into my workout routine by going for an interval run on the cross country course in the midst of a very windy rain shower. The skies were very dark and dramatic against the sunset making the run all the more exciting.
run 1 mile
40 sit ups
20 push ups
I saw your comment on Pure2Raw's site and saw your website name and got intrigued. Vegan CrossFit, huh? Do tell more!
ReplyDeleteI did CF for about 8 months and lOVED it and I was vegan before I started... they turned me to the dark (meat) side. How are you progressing and adding muscle being vegan? Are you able to make gains? :)
Happy Friday!

Great to hear that you clicked through to my blog from Pure2Raw! I too absolutely love Crossfit. I have been doing it for about 10 months now and have gained about 10 lbs of muscle. I do some running and cycling too.
ReplyDeleteI make sure I get plenty of high quality protein each day since I'm actively trying to gain muscle, so I eat a lot of hemp products like hemp seeds and hemp protein powder, lots of tempeh (fermented, minimally processed soy), lentils, beans, lots of nuts and quinoa and I get plenty of protein that way. I'm never worried that I'm malnourished in any area because I'm a pretty serious food nerd, so I know my sh*t. :)
If you'd like to get back into Crossfit and try going meatless sometimes, never fear! Ask me any questions you have, and try reading my post on vegan bodybuilders for info and support.
